Recently, for unknown reason, I start getting SQL Server Timeout on Hangfire Job creation. I use Azure SQL. Stack trace as follows:
System.Web.HttpUnhandledException (0x80004005): Job creation process has failed. See inner exception for details ---> Hangfire.Client.CreateJobFailedException: Job creation process has failed. See inner exception for details ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. This failure occurred while attempting to connect to the routing destination. The duration spent while attempting to connect to the original server was - [Pre-Login] initialization=1; handshake=51; [Login] initialization=0; authentication=0; [Post-Login] complete=1; ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The wait operation timed out

Since the database is based on the cloud, I think it is expected that every once in a while there might be disruptions in the network, or database server, etc. I understand that managing the storage is out-of-scope of Hangfire code itself, but it would be great if we can somehow hook on the connection object in the Commit()
so we can do things like tweaking the Timeout for the transaction.
